the "CO-POLE" by WV4R
(2nd Generation shown with RG8X Coaxial Choke BALUN)

the CoPole Antenna Design by WV4R (circa 2002)

This Easy weekend Hammy Radio project has "Guaranteed" Results!

Detail of R.F. Coaxial Choke BALUN

The "CO-POLE" is a work in progress...
This Co-Linear monoband design is 3-Driven Quarter Waves & 1-Quarter Wave Shield Counterpoise.

Features/Benefits:
Cheap... Additional Quarter-Wave of wire, Quarter-Wave of coax & some solder.
Easy to make Without test equipment Assuming you already have a Tuned/Resonant dipole up and working.
Small Size for Gain for real estate challenged installs.
Multi Install Possibilities: Flat-Top - Vertical - Sloper - 'L' - Inverted 'V' -'BENT'

So far this 'MonoBand Wire' emperically exhibits Multi-Lobes with as much as an S-Unit over my reference dipole.
The ole MFJ-259B shows 100-Ohm impedence at resonance, confirmed by 1.7 SWR into 50-Ohm coax.

The Legend Continues with COPOLE 'Generation-3' using DX-Engineering 2:1 BALUN!
